TRACE Mziki, the channel in Swahili and of the best East-African artists celebrate the 57th anniversary of DRC’s independence with the Independence Day Festival in Goma, at the Collège Mwanga from June 30 till July 2nd.
Organized by Mtoto wa Africa, Hagi Louzaki and Robert Ngoy, the Independence Day Festival offers 3 entire days of celebration with concerts and DJ sets gathering the most popular acts in DRC, at the heart of Africa.
From Friday 30th June till Sunday 2nd July, the Independence Day Festival will bring various artists from DRC, Tanzania, Nigeria and the rest of Africa to make the youth of North-Kivu dance. With Mr Eazi, Diamond Platnumz and Navy Kenzo as well as Dutch Rebelle, Wanny S-King, El Weezya, Makeda, Mista Poa, Fimbokali, S’Black, DJ Malor, DJ Damas and many more.
Exclusive: The festival organisers are offering an eco-responsible event with the use of natural materials directly from Goma. The used wood and goods will be given to schools from the region to be recycled. An initiative that helps bring resilience and solidarity amongst Goma’s community.
The Festival is awaiting around 10 000 attendees per day for this first edition at the college Mwanga, place Jean-Paul 2.
